Bakri Selim, CEO of the Misr Clearing Club, objected to the draw system for the Egypt Cup for the current season 2021/2022.

Bakri Selim said on the Sada Al-Balad channel: “The Football Association should have drawn the cup draw in an open way so as not to increase the many Egyptian football crises in the past period.”

He added, “If the Football Association wants the cup final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, it should play one match between them from now on and cancel the rest of the tournament matches.”

He continued, “Al-Ismaili is defending his rights and nothing more, and Egypt is going through the worst football situation in its history.”

He pointed out, “Al-Maqassa is an institutional club that does not like to create crises, but we feel dissatisfied with the way the Egypt Cup draw.”

When asked if the clearing could win over Al-Ahly, he replied, “May God have mercy on a person who knows his own destiny.”

He concluded his statements, “There must be a sovereign decision to cancel the league, the cup and all competitions in the current season and start again correctly after a year or two.”

The draw for the round of 16 of the Egyptian Cup for the 2021-2022 season resulted in a clearing in the face of Al-Ahly.
