Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Lionel Messi’s transfer to the French team took only three days.
Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain early last summer after failing to renew his contract with Barcelona due to the club’s financial crisis.
“It all happened quickly, it only took three days,” Pochettio told Esport3.
He added, “The transfer of all his family members and children. Messi went through times that were not easy. He had to adapt to his teammates, but he soon won the admiration and respect of everyone.”
Talking about his future with the team, he said: “There are always a lot of rumors, I have already been sacked several times every week, there is still a year left in my contract and I am continuing.”
“In order to get to a club like Paris Saint-Germain, you have to be a great coach, and after being there for a year and a half, I think I’m the best.”
And speaking of Kylian Mbappe and his decision to stay at the club, the Argentine replied: “He was always clear, and he really did not make a decision at any time, then a week before the announcement he agreed to renew
hand”.
He concluded by talking about the team’s season: “Over the course of my first seven months, it took time to find the right balance, the match against Real Madrid is when the team started to find itself.”
Paris Saint-Germain ended its season winning the French League for the tenth time in its history, after missing one season.
